Fantasy League: Offseason 2011

The Sleazy Ice Warriors shook up their lineup today. They send underachieving enigma LW/RW Alexander Semin and the victim of Alexander Ovechkins defensive unawareness, Nicklas Bäckström to the Troisdorf Vikings. In return they get C Anze Kopitar and C/LW Alexander Steen. Laudable.

Das nenn ich mal Blockbuster-Trade. Bin sehr gespannt, wie die Rückbetrachtung in einem halben Jahr ausfällt. Wenn ich das richtig mitbekommen habe spielt Ovechkin jetzt wieder mit Backström und Semin in einer Reihe. Wenn der neue Coach die jetzt auch noch von der Leine lässt, ist das Duo Kopitar sicherlich mehr als wert. Im Moment ist Anze aber sicherlich der dickste Fisch in diesem Trade. Wirklich sehr interessant.

Für mich klarer Gewinner sind die Ice Warriors. Für den einen Russen hätte ich nichtmal mehr ein Draftpick bezahlt, und der der andere Russe vergeudet momentan das Talent von Backström.

BREAKING NEWS: UPCOMING TRADE IN HAIMSPIEL.DE AND FRIENDS FANTASY LEAGUE:

Sources tell TSN that league leader New England Fireworks and Sleazy Ice Warriors have agreed to another deal, in tradition to their successfull history od trading.

New England Fireworks are about to ship their Number 2 Goaltender, Antti Niemi, and RW Nathan Horton to Sleazy in return for future superstar G Tuukka Rask and C,RW Joe Pavelski.

As a further condition, this trade wont be confirmed by Sleazy before Saturday, december 17th, Yahoo Time.

Both GM Olbertz and GM Nelles are laudable. They also announced at a media availability this morning how much it sucks that most teams in the league are never willing to deal anything. But they are, and have nearly always been, two of the top teams in this league for a reason. So what.

Summary of today's trading thrillride:

• The Bandwagonjumpers acquire defenseman Zach Bogosian from the Anaheim Vipers in exchange for defenseman Lubomir Visnovksy.

• Bandwagonjumpers and Cologne Pirates swap their 16th round picks in the 2012 draft.

• The Cologne Pirates ship center Evgeni Malkin, goalie Ryan Miller and a conditional 16th round pick to the Anaheim Vipers for goaltender Roberto Luongo, left wing Rick Nash and a conditional 2nd round pick in 2012 (condition: Nash finishing the season with -30 or worse in the plus/minus-category).

The Cologne Pirates ship center Evgeni Malkin, goalie Ryan Miller and a conditional 16th round pick to the Anaheim Vipers for goaltender Roberto Luongo, left wing Rick Nash and a conditional 2nd round pick in 2012 (condition: Nash finishing the season with -30 or worse in the plus/minus-category).

The conditional pick going back to the Vipers will be the worst available pick owned by the Pirates at the end of the season.

Das muntere traden an diesem wilden Wochenende vor den besinnlichen Feiertagen geht weiter:

Wie die mysteriöse Eishockeyredaktion der Augsburger Allgemeinen herausgefunden hat, werden die löblichen New England Fireworks schon wieder ihr Team verbessern.

Sie schicken den underachievenden Nichtsnutz Jack Johnson zu den Rhineland Seahawks und bekommen dafür das fleißige Arbeitsbienchen Mark Stuart. Ein guter Mensch, der vor Unmengen an Blocks und Checks nicht zurückschreckt - wie aufregend.

Des weiteren geht ein 15.Pick der Fireworks in der Offseason zu den Seahawks, im Gegenzug zu einem 24. der Seahawks.

Zu diesem Teil des Deals kommt es NICHT, wenn die Rhineland Seahawks Miikka Kiprusoff zurückkaufen möchten. Dann verweilt das betreffende 15th Pick als Rückkaufpreis für Kipper einfach in New England.

Zudem erhalten die Seahawks das 17th Pick der Fireworks im Tausch mit ihrem 20th, wenn die New England Fireworks, was jedes Kind hofft, Meister werden.
